Booking Policy for Medical Consultations

Booking Policy for Initial Medical Consultations

To ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based care, all new patients must follow the structured process outlined below.

Prepayment Required at Time of Booking

All initial bookings require full prepayment to confirm your appointment. This fee includes:

  • A Brief Intake Assessment (5–10 min via Telehealth)

  • Ordering of tailored investigations

  • Review of results and clinical suitability

  • Planning for a Comprehensive Medical Consultation

Two-Step Medical Review Process (For Complex Conditions)

Step 1: Brief Intake Assessment (5–10 min Telehealth)

This initial consultation is used to:

  • Obtain a focused medical history

  • Clarify your treatment goals

  • Arrange condition-appropriate pathology and/or imaging

Step 2: Comprehensive Consultation (10–30 min)

Scheduled at least 10–14 days later to allow for:

  • Completion of pathology

  • Return of results

  • Clinical review and eligibility assessment
If medically suitable, this consultation will include:

  • Diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Regulatory compliance discussion

  • Initiation of individualised therapy, if appropriate

Referral forms for tests are included in your consultation fee. Laboratory/imaging fees may apply depending on your provider.

Mandatory Intake Questionnaire

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a condition-specific intake questionnaire (e.g. TRT, weight loss, chronic injury). This must be completed before your initial consultation to:

  • Identify potential contraindications

  • Ensure treatment eligibility under TGA/AHPRA guidelines

  • Minimise unnecessary or inappropriate prescribing

Eligibility Review and Refund Policy

After your pathology and intake form are reviewed:

  • If eligible, you proceed to the Comprehensive Consultation.

  • If not suitable, your booking will be cancelled and a refund issued minus an $80+GST administration fee.

This process ensures all care remains within legal and professional standards.

Access to Test Results

Regardless of treatment eligibility, you will receive a copy of your pathology results. These can also be forwarded to your regular GP or treating specialist upon request.
