Do you charge for pathology requests?

Yes. We charge a modest administrative fee to cover the time and resources required to generate your pathology request, review results, and integrate findings into your care plan. This fee is integrated into consultation fees and ensures appropriate medical oversight of all investigations. But will be retained in the event of booking cancelation (if testing arranged) or if unsuitable for our services.

Can I choose where to have my tests done?

Absolutely. You are free to use any accredited pathology provider you prefer. This includes major public providers or private labs.

We are not affiliated with any pathology company and receive no financial benefit from your choice of provider.

Do I have to pay for pathology tests privately?

That depends on the pathology provider and the nature of the tests requested.

  • For not Medicare-rebatable (e.g. for off-label or preventive screening), they will normally incur an out-of-pocket cost

  • Pricing varies by provider and may range from $50 to several hundred dollars, depending on the panel ordered

  • You are encouraged to contact your chosen provider directly for pricing

Why is there an admin fee if I still have to pay the lab separately?

Our admin fee covers:

  • Clinical review of your intake questionnaire

  • Tailored test panel selection based on your symptoms and goals

  • Preparation and secure delivery of your pathology request form

  • Medical review of results prior to consultation

This ensures your testing is clinically appropriate and compliant with current medical guidelines.
